This week on The Weekend Take, unfortunately due to technical difficulties, we will not be joined by our originally planned special guest, Actor Rich Lounello. Therefore, I will be handling the heavy lifting of the Top 10 solo once again.

However, in a surprise return to seek vindication for not getting a special guest segment last time he was with us, Writer, Director, Producer, Entertainment Attorney, and longtime columnist for Script Magazine (and our special guest on the very first episode of The Weekend Take) Christopher Schiller joins me for his special guest segment and again later in the show for our opinion segment on Disney's reconciliation with previously dismissed Director James Gunn.

Check out Christopher Schiller's latest article for Script Magazine here:

Meanwhile, in the Top 10, we saw Captain Marvel retain the #1 spot with ease following a $69.3 million second weekend in release. The Top 10 also welcomed four newcomers in Captive State, No Manches Frida 2, Five Feet Apart, and Wonder Park, all of which opened above expectations, but couldn't soar quite high enough to come close to Captain Marvel.
