This week on The Weekend Take, I fly solo with hosting duties, but am later joined in a phone in segment by special guest Eric Vollweiler (//www.linkedin.com/in/eric-vollweiler-7382882 ) who is a Producer and Marketing Consultant for Film Festivals and Entertainment Events.

I'll be discussing the weekend that was at the Box Office, which saw a massive $153 million+ opening weekend by "Captain Marvel", that matched industry expectations despite lead actor Brie Larson stirring the hornet's nest of angry incels and keyboard warriors with some of her comments and observations during the press tour leading up to the film's release.

Elsewhere, "Apollo 11" from Neon navigated a landing on the surface of the Top 10 and "How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World" soars too close to the sun after a franchise best opening weekend and two weeks at #1 as it begins it's rapid descent, now trending behind it's predecessors at their respective points in release. Lastly, Madea isn't dead yet as "Madea Family Funeral" posts a strong second weekend total and per screen average.

All this and more on this episode of The Weekend Take.
